The Baseball Tour Safari 2025 offers a unique blend of sports, culture, and wildlife exploration in Kenya from July 15 to July 29. Participants will kick off the journey in Nairobi with city tours, then head to Mombasa for baseball training activities, followed by exhilarating dolphin viewing and snorkeling at Diani. After engaging in volunteer work at the Baseball 4 Africa Regional
Championship, the tour includes visits to Tsavo West and Amboseli National Parks for game drives, alongside baseball clinics and community outreach efforts. The culmination of the tour features attendance at the Baseball 4 Africa National Championship in Nairobi, where passionate volunteers can coach or umpire, before concluding with an adventure in the Masai
Mara for a full day of wildlife viewing.


Itinerary

15th July 1: Arrive and transfer to Hilton Garden Airport Hotel for an overnight stay.

16th July: City tour of Nairobi: David Sheldrick: Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen: visit a baseball training center after lunch for some baseball activity: dinner and overnight at the hotel.

17th July: Fly out of Nairobi for Mombasa and transfer to a beach resort in time for lunch: spend the rest of the afternoon training kids at a nearby center: dinner and overnight at the resort.

18th July: Travel to Diani for a Dolphin Dhow Trip to Kisite Island via Shimoni Slave Caves for dolphin viewing and snorkeling: lunch at Wasini Island: return to the resort for a restful late afternoon on the beach: dinner and overnight at the resort.

19th July: Leave the resort after breakfast with packed lunch: volunteer for Baseball 4 Africa Regional Championship as an umpire, coach or scorer: dinner and overnight at the resort.

20th July: Depart for Tsavo West National Park after breakfast: arrive and check in to tourist class lodge/tented camp for lunch: late afternoon game drive till dusk: dinner and overnight at the resort.

21st July: Spend the day in Tsavo West National Park: 2 game drives that includes a hike on Mt. Chaima and vist to Mzima Springs underwater observation, overnight at the lodge.

22nd July: Leave for Amboseli after breakfast and check in to a lodge/tented camp on arrival: lunch followed by a late afternoon game drive against the backdrop of snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro world’s highest standalone mountain till dusk: dinner and overnight at the lodge/tented camp.

23rd July: Travel from Amboseli to Nairobi stopping at a school in Makueni County to offer baseball clinics: proceed to Swara Acacia Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

24rd July: Travel to Elburgon Nakuru for a day with trail brazing Alice in Africa slum baseball kids: enjoy the day playing and training with Kenya’s baseball rag tag army: return to Nairobi in the evening for an overnight stay.

26th July: Depart from the hotel after breakfast for East Africa’s biggest and oldest baseball showcase “Baseball 4 Africa National Championship that brings together all baseball clubs and little league center for two thrilling days: visitors volunteer as coaches: umpire games or play if they feel up to the task.
Hot dogs and burger for lunch: dinner and overnight at Safari Park Hotel.

27th July: Another day of baseball to determine the club champions of U12, U15, U18 and senior men and ladies teams: return to the hotels a well-earned restful night.

28th July: Drive to Masai Mara via the Masai town of Narok: check into a luxury tented camp/lodge in time for lunch: late afternoon game drive till dusk: dinner and overnight at the luxury tented camp/lodge.

29th July: Full day game drive in search of diverse wildlife including the Big 5 that roam freely on the breathtaking plains: dinner and overnight at the lodge.

30th July: Depart from Masai Mara after breakfast by air and arrive around midday: lunch at an African Cuisine restaurant: spend the rest of the day shopping: transfer to the airport for the flight home.
